Letter from the Editor - February 2016
Since our last update, we’ve been busy laying the groundwork for 2016! In this month’s newsletter you’ll hear updates on the Alliance for International Exchange and highlights from their annual membership meeting in Washington D.C., learn about CIEE’s Overseas Representative Forum in Berlin, explore the impact the program has on students once they’ve returned home, and learn tips for effective communication before students even arrive.
This month we are asking you to share your stories of how you keep in touch with your students once they return home, and also tell us what your students are up to! Given the key role that you play in hosting students, we know that you have developed lifelong ties and friendships with so many students and want to hear more about how you (and fellow staff) engage with students upon their immersion back home. What shape has their life taken and how has their experience in the U.S. impacted their future?
The Work & Travel USA program couldn’t be successful without all that you do to support cultural exchange. By hosting students, you are vital to the success of the program – thank you for all that you do.
Vice President, Work & Travel USA
